Anything and Everything dedicated to the fantastic world of comics.

I want this to happen. I want it more than anything in the world…
People ship Blueberry and Blue Baby endings, Tali Waifu’s, Garrus…well okay Garrus is cool. But let’s face facts. Harbinger is FASCINATED with Shepard. So much so the other Reapers know about it.
After watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caAqFFhBn2U it only confirms my belief that the ending from the blast to the breath was all a dream. The Mass Relay’s didn’t blow-up-really-good, Joker didn’t run away with the crew, and Anderson and TIM aren’t dead either.
It was the final showdown, Harbinger broke Shepard. Something he’s wanted to do since he learned Shepard was alive in ME2. And if you picked Control ( come on, Assuming Control anyone, I only made a song about it 2 years ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4cokDb68jc) or Synthesize ( That was Saren’s master plan, he took a bullet in the head ) then you got fooled and Harbinger won…the Reapers won…everyone dies.
But if you pick Destroy, something Paragon or Renegade Shepard has been spewing ever since Sovereign’s defeat, then you beat Harbinger at his own game. You broke the Indoctrination. We experienced what I’ve always wondered what Saren was going through since Indoctrination. Granted in the first game I didn’t buy Indoctrination at all. In fact I thought it was a cheap way out for Sovereign to recruit Saren and the Geth.
But look at the ending…freaking look at it. Everyone wanted a happy ending ( sorry not in my sci-fi ) everyone wanted answers…EVERYONE THINKS SYNTHESIZE IS THE TRUE ENDING.
Harbinger didn’t just defeat Shepard if he/she picked Blue or Green. He defeated the player. He trick all you fools who took everything you saw on the screen at face value. He broke you down into believing everything you saw was real.
NOW IT’S PAYBACK!!
Now is the ending really Indoctrination? We’ll know soon enough. But if it is ( and it looks more and more like it is ) I want my ultimate showdown with Harbinger. Now it’s personal. You mess with my head. Trick me into thinking I’m making good choices? I feel violated.
The more I think about the events in ME2, the more I think Bioware is up to something. The human reaper, Harbinger’s 1 on 1 in the Arrival, they’re up too something.
But hell, if a bunch of ENTITLED GAMERS can bitch and scream about how they want THEIR ENDING. I want mine. Shepard vs Harbinger. The final fight for the true champion of the galaxy.
Then again I could be wrong and Bioware made a gutsy decision to kill the franchise by destroying the Mass Relays, because making any money in the future wasn’t their ultimate goal. They really wanted to piss people off and not make any future DLC that happens after you beat ME3 like they did with ME2…oh wait, they gave us the Arrival.
Welcome to the 21st century of gaming where the complete game isn’t really the complete game. Now excuse me, I got a galaxy to save and I spent way too much time on that pic than I really wanted too.

Hooray…Captain America 2 comes out this week…along with Thor 2, IronMan 3, and I guess there’s some debate that Ang Lee’s Hulk movie even existed.

American Rage
I just wanted to ride the ME3 Ending bandwagon…and draw Stan in N7 armor…and wish I had ME3.

Inking Experiment
Since I’m running out of Sketchbooks I decided to man up and made a Sketchbook file in Manga Studio 4. I’ve been hitting it rather hard, 8-12 hours a day for the past week. The main reason besides productivity was that I noticed when I scanned in penciled work I found way more mistakes on the computer than I noticed before.
Oddly enough this mentality made me think that I sucked at drawing digitally and only a Cintiq would save me, when in reality I was drawing how I always did. It’s just the mistakes are more noticeable when transferred or done digitally. So how do I fix that? By drawing out of it and experimenting.
I’m still messing around with Line-Width, pens, and a variety of other techniques. However I’m leaning towards the flat-look. Although it goes against my own beliefs for Inking comics, in my head I envision my stuff that have that cartoon like look. Also with the addition of how I’m coloring, it could meet my needs.
Nothing is set in stone. I just have to hammer at it until I see what my brain wants me to see. They say your brain is 5 years ahead of your hands. So if I keep at it for more than 8 hours a day and turn my brain off I might get caught up with what it wants me to do.
Or I could end up going insane. Either way win/win right?

24 Page Plot First
I had an idea, why don’t I find a story-structure that makes me want to actually draw a comic book. http://one-shotstructure.blogspot.com/2012/02/24-page-plot-first-story-structure.html

Only 5 years old and it’s horribly outdated.

Out of all my arsenal for making comics, no how to books or tutorials have ever been as informative as these 8 images. I dunno where I found them, but I know who made them. The information they contain is timeless yet simple.

Whether you want to make manga, cape, or strip comics it doesn’t matter. These are fundamentals critical to the process and provide a wealth of information that comes from practicing them on a daily basis.

All the methods above can be used in traditional or digital media. It’s up to you as the artist to discover what works best for you. Talent is only one part of the process…knowledge is what takes those to the next level.

I thought I’d have a bit of fun while I’m working on a new process for making comic book pages ( I might end up making myself a homemade light table )

Anywho the first pic was drawn last July 2011. I was so determined this was my style and I had to live with it— it wasn’t meant to be. Depressed I lost myself in Minecraft for a couple months before I hit the sketch book again. Determined to find something that didn’t make me puke I weeded out that style to come to one I used in the second pic.

It was done in November ( I remember this because for the whole month of October I was still stretching it with that old style ) Although I was still testing the waters, this new method of how I approached anatomy and expressions started to open a whole new door for me.

Finally the last pic was what I’m trying to do in my sketch books. Make some sort of comic that doesn’t have to make sense. By doing this I realized my method of laying out pages was all wrong ( light table ) No— not tracing other stuff, but using it to properly place the contents of the panels.

All well, that’s all i wanted to say. I guess the point I’m trying to make is if you know somethings not working, you got to draw your way out of it. Whether it’s good or not is up to every one else’s personal tastes— making it impossible to please everyone.

All I know is I’m happy with it and I still got a lot of work to do. The last pic are some X-Men I sketched for fun. I don’t normally draw other characters, but when I do I draw the X-Men.

Felt like drawing like a chain gun— chicks like chain guns.
